If you’re in Aspen with your special someone and are looking for that romantic evening out, look no further than the Wild Fig. Known for its elegant atmosphere, refined service, and high quality dishes, this European-inspired beaut will allow you to experience the flavors of Spain, France, and Italy all in one! Earning the classy card for our Top 10 Aspen restaurants is Element 47—named after silver (the 47th element in the periodic table), the first precious metal to bring notoriety to Aspen! Located in Base Village, this gem of a restaurant has created the perfect after-sport environment, the only Aspen winner of the prestigious Forbes 5-Star Restaurant award! Take a break from your day of mountain biking (you know you want to) and relax at Element 47. Just make sure you aren’t too tired for dessert. Open daily 7 AM - 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM, 6 PM - 10 PM.
7. Ajax Tavern
An absolute favorite of travelers and locals alike, Ajax Tavern attracts casual souls hoping for a relaxing meal. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, you don’t even have to leave nature to grab some grub in this Top 10 Aspen restaurant. Sit on the gorgeous deck surrounded by mountains, trees, and sunlight. An après-ski style treasure, you’ll never want to leave the charm of the tavern. Sit back and soak up some chill. Travelers: believe us when we say this place couldn’t be cheddar! A Colorado classic, this sweet little joint is a Top 10 Aspen restaurant and farm shop featuring craft beers, decadent cheeses, savory meats, and wonderful wines. The place gives off natural vibes and makes you want to experience nature, literally. Not to be cheesy, but we just know you’ll have a gouda time. Really, it’s gonna be grate! Open 11 AM – 10 PM.
5. Jimmy's
With an eye toward sustainability, we couldn’t keep this amazing restaurant off our Top 10 Aspen restaurants if we fried. The most spectacular place to get a mouth-watering apres ski meal, Jimmy’s will keep you satisfied. For the environmentalist in all of us, rest assured that the good folks at Jimmy’s compost 90% of their food waste. Good for your tummy, good for the planet! Serving daily 5:30 - 11 PM.
4. Hickory House
You wouldn’t want to come all the way to Aspen and not taste the best ribs in Colorado, would you? The Hickory House has got the process of making the juiciest ribs possible down pat. But it isn’t just the ribs, it’s the coleslaw, mashed potatoes, cornbread, apple sauce, baked beans, and every other amazing picnic side dish you can imagine. Strap on that bib and stuff your face. A Top 10 Aspen restaurant wear wet-naps are de rigueur Open for lunch Mon – Fri 11 AM – 2 PM and dinner 4:30 PM – 9 PM and Sat – Sun 11:30 AM – 9 PM.

Chef Chris Lanter, trained in all the French fundamentals, brings a classically continental flavor to the fare at Cache Cache. Try perennial favorites calf’s liver with cherry-wood smoked back or the veal osso buco. During the warmer months, vegetables are sourced from whatever is freshest from nearby area farms, truly cache as cache can! Serving dinner daily 5:30 - 10:30 PM.
2. White House Tavern
Ever wondered how the President eats? Well, you won’t find out here. But you will find something even better—a tiny miner’s cottage converted into a charming little tavern! Featuring “elevated” sandwiches, cocktails, and burgers, you’ll feel the love inside this heart-warming gem and your taste buds will thank you. Come see how the Aspen miners eat, that’s pretty comparable to the President, right? Open daily 11 AM – 10 PM.

An easy choice to round out our Top 10 Aspen restaurants is one of the finest French bistros around—Creperie du Village (doesn’t the name just make you drool?). This wonderful restaurant provides a beautiful, refined setting amongst one of the most spectacular mountain ranges in the country, making for a special experience. Boasting classic French cuisine, including authentic dishes and fondue galore, you fon-don’t want to miss this. Open daily 11:30 AM – 11:30 PM.
